Trans* Counselling
We offer professional psychosocial counselling regarding gender identity for trans, non-binary and queer people and their relatives.
Psychosocial counselling can be helpful in the event of particular challenges or difficulties in various areas of life, such as:
- Identity: Who am I? What is my gender? Am I trans?
- Pathways: How do I want to live my life? What options are there for living my gender? What is the situation regarding gender affirming care? What is covered by my health insurance? Who are competent specialists I can ask for advice? I am no longer sure whether my path is the right one. What can I do?
- Relationships: How do I talk about my situation with my parents, my partner, my child, my superiors, my team or at school?
- Sexuality: What influence does my identity have on my sexuality? How are gender identity and sexual orientation articulated?
Our counsellors are members of the community themselves. They advise children, young people, adults and their relatives as well as professionals. Professionals are asked to contact raphael.guillet@checkpoint-be.ch.
Counselling for those affected and their relatives is free of charge and limited to three sessions.
Appointments for personal counselling
Personal counselling sessions (d/f/e) for affected persons and relatives take place by appointment. Please book an appointment online.
